Biography

Virginijus Sinkevičius is a Lithuanian Member of the European Parliament with extensive leadership experience across national and European institutions. He previously served as Lithuania’s Minister of Economy and Innovation and as European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans, and Fisheries, where he shaped major EU policies on sustainability, competitiveness, and global trade. Currently Vice Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism, he specializes in defense and security policy, international trade, green transition, CBAM, climate governance, and transport regulation.
