Daan Roosegaarde is a Dutch artist and innovator internationally known for creating poetic, technology-driven works that envision a better future. Founder and Creative Director of Studio Roosegaarde, he leads the creation of “Landscapes of the Future” — large-scale social designs at the intersection of art, technology, and nature that inspire imagination, awareness, and action. His iconic projects include the SMOG FREE PROJECT, the world’s largest outdoor air purifier; VAN GOGH PATH, a solar-powered glowing bicycle path; and SPARK, a sustainable reinterpretation of fireworks using light instead of pollution. His work spans continents, from Waterlicht installations in major global cities to ecological initiatives such as the Firefly Garden in Bali. A Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, visiting professor in Shanghai, and member of NASA’s innovation team, his work has been exhibited at Tate Modern and featured by Forbes, WIRED, National Geographic, BBC, and CNN.
